Privacy Policy
Effective date: 21 July 2026
1. Who we are
Frame is inventory management software for shops, pharmacies, warehouses, supermarkets, and other retail businesses. In this policy, "Frame", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the Frame team providing the website, demo system, production app, support, and related services.
Contact us for privacy questions at support@frame.co.tz or info@frame.co.tz.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that is needed to create accounts, operate the system, provide support, process subscriptions, and protect the service.
- Account information such as name, email address, phone number, username, role, branch, and login details.
- Business information such as business name, address, business type, branches, users, suppliers, customers, products, stock, sales, purchases, expenses, and reports.

- Technical information such as IP address, device/browser type, session data, logs, sync status, service worker/PWA data, and error information.
- Support information such as messages, attachments, screenshots, and communication history you send to us.
3. How we use information
- To create and manage your Frame account.
- To run POS, stock, sales, purchase, reporting, subscription, and offline sync features.
- To verify payment proof and activate or renew subscriptions.
- To send OTP codes, account notices, order emails, support responses, and service updates.
- To prevent fraud, unauthorized access, abuse, data loss, and security incidents.
- To improve product reliability, performance, and customer experience.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal basis and data protection principles
We aim to process personal data lawfully, fairly, transparently, and only for clear business purposes. We also aim to collect only what is needed, keep information accurate, retain it only as necessary, and protect it with appropriate security controls.
Depending on the situation, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and security interests, or based on your consent where required.
5. Customer and business data ownership
Your business data remains yours. Frame does not own your customer list, supplier list, products, sales records, purchase records, reports, or uploaded documents.
You give Frame permission to host, process, back up, transmit, and display this data only as needed to provide the service, troubleshoot issues, comply with law, and improve system reliability.
6. Offline and PWA data
Frame may store limited data on a user device so the POS and selected functions can continue during poor or unavailable internet connection. This can include cached pages, session information, offline sale records, cart data, and sync queues.
Anyone using a shared computer should log out when finished and protect the device with a password. Frame is not responsible for local device access caused by weak device security or shared credentials.
7. Sharing information
We do not sell your personal data or business data. We may share limited information only when necessary with:
- Hosting, email, backup, security, analytics, and infrastructure providers.
- Payment or mobile money partners when direct payment integrations are introduced.
- Support personnel or authorized service providers helping us operate Frame.
- Authorities, regulators, courts, or law enforcement when legally required.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access controls, authentication, backups, server security, account separation, and secure development practices. No online system is completely risk-free, so customers must also protect passwords, limit user access, and promptly report suspicious activity.
9. Data retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, support audits, comply with legal obligations, and maintain backups. If an account is closed, we may delete, archive, or anonymize data after a reasonable retention period unless the law requires longer retention.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, export, or withdrawal of consent for your personal data. Business owners may also request help exporting or closing their account data.
Send requests to support@frame.co.tz. We may need to verify your identity and account authority before acting on a request.
11. Cookies and analytics
Our website and app may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login sessions, PWA/offline behavior, security, preferences, analytics, and performance. You can control some cookies through your browser, but disabling them may affect login and offline features.
12. Third-party links
Frame may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are not controlled by Frame. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Frame grows, laws change, or features change. The latest version will be posted on this page with the effective date.
